Kobe Beef Steaks

Kobe beef steaks are beef from a black-haired breed of cattle called Wagyu which translates as “Japanese cattle”. It is renowned for its flavor, tenderness, and fatty well-marbled texture. An extremely prized prime steaks, these qualities are a result of their excellent genetic characterisics and the way that they are raised. Cows of the same breed are raised this way in Japan, Idaho, Texas, California, Virginia, and Australia.

Because true Kobe beef is not exported from Japan, “Kobe style” beef is produced from a crossbreed of Wagyu and American Angus cattle. Kobe beef can be prepared as steak, sukiyaki, shabu shabu, sashimi, teppanyaki, and more.

Kobe beef Wagyu steaks can also include succulent sirloin strip, flavorful ribeyes and luscious, complete trim filet mignons. In addition to steaks, you’ll find a Kobe-style beef including Wagyu tenderloin roast for Chateaubriand.

You can also find Wagyu pastrami and corned beef from creations such as David’s Old World Wagyu pastrami brisket and Wagyu pastrami navel short rib, or the Wagyu corned beef brisket. Top some with stone ground mustard and stuff it between whole grain bread, and you’ve created a little masterpiece from the Kobe beef steaks.
